Abstract

The hip diseases can be devided into: innate or developmental and acquired hip disease. The developmental hip disorder is the most common childe locomotor system disease. The acquired hip disorders are more common in eldery population and they can be devided into: inflammatory, degenerative, circulatory and posttraumatic hip disorders. The joint diseases are one of the public health problems and the hip arthrosis is the most common degenerative disease in the modern world. The hip arthrosis presents the increasing problem which occurs in all the earlier age of the population, causing disablement in at least 5% of the people older than 55. The hip arthrosis can be devided into: primary (idiopathic) and secondary arthrosis. The primary hip arthrosis which can’t be prevented because we don’t know the cause of its development, is treated operatively. The most usually symptoms of the hip arthrosis are: pain, decreasing round of motion (ROM) and limping. The alloarthroplasty is a surgical method compounded of partial or total damaged joint replacement with endoprostesis, resulting in significant improvement of joint function and quality of life. We try to improve the locomotor system function, performing the operative procedure which results with quality of life improvement. The nurse is involved in patient care process as a part of the team, starting from the patient admittion to the hospital and continuing the care until the patient release form the hospital. She spends the most time with a patient and can evaluate the physical, mental and emotional responses of the patient to the threatment and medical care. After hip arthroplasty the nurse approach to the patient in the early postoperative period is composed of: care of patient in the recovery room, care of patient during the recovery at the department, participation in patient rehabilitation process, patient education ant participation in complications prevention.
