Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
Odontogenic infections are a main cause of hospitalization in maxillofacial surgery. Odontogenic infections include a wide range of symptoms and complications. Because of that, it is very important to do an analysis and improve daily health care. Based on this study the most common way to treat odontogenic infections is by incision or a tooth extraction with antimicrobial intraveous therapy. Nowadays, computed tomography has a crucial role in preoperative care. Patients are mostly men in their thirties. The categorization of patients according to the necessary nursing care degree shows that significant time should be given to the younger population. To reduce odontogenic infections it is necessary to work on preventive health education in terms of promoting oral hygiene and oral health.
