Abstract

Motorizirani cestovni promet jedno je od bitnih obilježja suvremene civilizacije. Od tri bitna čimbenika za sigurnost prometa, sudionici, vozila i ceste, prometna kultura svih sudionika, a posebno vozača najbrže može smanjiti tragične posljedice.
U posljednjih se deset godina na hrvatskim cestama prosječno događalo 57 000 prometnih nesreća godišnje. U 27% nesreća stradavale su osobe. Godišnje je u prometu prosječno stradavalo 22 000 ljudi.
Prometne nesreće predstavljaju veću opasnost za motocikliste u odnosu na ostale sudionike u prometnim nesrećama. Naime, prometna nesreća koja će rezultirati lakšim ozljedama kod vozača automobila može rezultirati smrću motociklista.
Kod smrtno stradalih motociklista često su zahvaćene sve regije tijela: glava i vrat, lice, prsni koš, trbuh, udovi, zdjelica. Korištenje zaštitne opreme prvenstveno reducira površinske ozljede, dok na unutarnje meko-tkivne i skeletne ozljede nema značajnijeg utjecaja.
Alkohol i droge predstavljaju važne čimbenike u nastanku prometnih nesreća. Brojna provedena istraživanja, kako kod nas u Hrvatskoj tako i drugim zemljama Europe i svijeta, navode i mlađu životnu dob, neiskustvo, umor i neispavanost kao dodatne rizične čimbenike u nastanku prometnih nesreća.
U ispitivanom uzorku obrađeno je osamdeset i troje smrtno stradalih motociklista te su promatrane okolnosti nesreće, zadobivene ozljede i uzrok smrti, kao i rezultat kemijsko-toksikološke analize.

Abstract (english)

Motorized road transport is one of the essential elements of modern civilization.
Of the three essential factors for traffic safety, participants, vehicles and roads, traffic culture of all participants, especially the drivers is able to reduce tragic consequences.
In the past ten years on Croatian roads averaged happened 57,000 traffic accidents annually. In 27% of the accidents persons were injured. Annual averaged 22,000 people were injured in accidents.
Road accidents represent a greater risk to motorcyclists in relation to other participants in traffic accidents. The accident which will result in minor injuries of car drivers can result in death of motorcyclists.
In motorcyclists fatally injured are often affected all regions of the body: head and neck, face, chest, abdomen, limbs, pelvis.
Using leather clothing motorcyclists reduce surface bodily injuries, but internal injuries and skeletal fractures are not spared.
Alcohol and drugs are important factors in the occurrence of traffic accidents. Numerous studies conducted both here in Croatia and in the other countries of the Europe and the world, suggest the younger age, inexperience, fatigue and lack of sleep as well as additional risk factors in the occurrence of traffic accidents.
