Abstract

Prva profesionalna bolest prepoznata je 1775.godine kod dimnjačara koji su dobili karcinome skrotuma zbog izloženosti čađi. Do danas profesionalne bolesti ostaju vrlo važno područje interesa različitih djelatnosti zbog utjecaja na zdravlje zaposlenika.

Široko rasprostanjeni kemijski, fizikalni i biološki čimbenici prisutni na radnom mjestu uvelike utječu na zdravstveno stanje zaposlenika i upravo je zato bitno prepoznati njihove učinke i pokušati ih svesti na zadovoljavajuću razinu. Sveukupnost tih čimbenika dovodi do profesionalnih bolesti, čija pojavnost, učestalost i vrsta ovisi o radnom mjestu. U zadnjim desetljećima ljudi su izloženi izrazito brzom napretku tehnologije, čiji utjecaji još nisu potpuno istraženi, ali već sad pokazuju negativne posljedice na zdravlje.

Zdravstveni djelatnici predstavljaju jednu od djelatnosti koja je izrazito podložna utjecaju čimbenika na radnom mjestu i zauzimaju visoko mjesto na ljestivici oboljelih od profesionalnih bolesti.

Ovaj diplomski rad ima za cilj ukazati na potencijalne štetnosti radnog mjesta zdravstvenih djelatnika i načine kako se te štetnosti mogu izbjeći.

Izuzetno je važno upoznati ne samo zaposlenike, već i poslodavce s tim štetnostima da bi ih mogli otkloniti u skladu sa zakonom i spriječiti daljnje napredovanje bolesti na prvi znak simptoma.

Abstract (english)

First occupational disease has been identified in 1775 at chimney sweepers who had cancer of scrotum due to exposure to soot. Even today occupational diseases still remain very important area of interest for different activities due to the impact on health on the employees.

Widely spread chemical, physical and biological factor on the workplace greatly affect the health condition of the employees and that is way it's important to identify their effects and try to reduce them to satisfactory level. Totality of those factors leads to occupational diseases, whose incidence, frequency and type depends on workplace. However, in the last decades, people are exposed to extremly fast tecnological advances, whose influences are not fully explored, althougt they already show negative consequence on the health.

Health workers represent occupation that is highly susceptible to the influences of the workplace and occupy a high position in the scale of patients suffering for occupational diseases.

This thesis aims to point out potencial harmfulness of the workplace for health workers and possible ways to avoid that harmfulness.

It is extremely important to inform, not only employees, but also the employers to those harmfulnesess so they could eliminate them acording to law and prevent further advancement at first site of symptoms.
