Abstract

Kronična bol je jedan od najčešćih uzroka invalidnosti, te je incidencija kronične boli u stalnom porastu. Kroničnom boli se definira bolno stanje u trajanju duljem od 3 do 6 mjeseci. Postoji mnogo teorija nastanka kronične boli, ali nijedna ne nosi potpuno objašnjenje zašto nastaje, ni kako bi se u potpunosti mogla spriječiti. More disciplina usmjerenih na različite mehanizme boli. Kronična bolna stanja najčešće imaju komponente više različitih mehanizama nastajanja boli, stoga multimodalno liječenje istovremeno koristi različite metode liječenja poput farmakološkog liječenja, psihološkog i fizikalnog liječenja. Multimodalnim liječenjem se omogućava bolja njega pacijenata, ali treba se uzeti u obzir činjenica da je uvijek potrebna individualna prilagodba pacijentu te da metode liječenja u slučaju jednog pacijenta ne moraju biti jednako efikasne u slučaju drugog pacijenta. Multimodalno liječenje kronične boli postiže bolje rezultate od korištenja samo jedne metode, ali je potrebna stalna evaluacija i prilagodba tehnika. Bitna je prevencija i rano liječenje predležeće bolesti koja je uzrok kronične boli jer liječenje samih simptoma bez kauzalnog liječenja je manje učinkovito i ima puno više nuspojava. Less

Abstract (english)

Chronic pain is one of the most common causes of disability and the incidence of chronic pain is steadily increasing. Chronic pain is defined as a painful condition lasting longer than 3 to 6 months. There are many theories about the causes of chronic pain, but none provide a full explanation of why it occurs, or how it can be completely prevented. Multimodal pain treatment is defined as the simultaneous application of separate therapeutic interventions with different mechanisms of... More action within the same or different disciplines focused on different mechanisms of pain. Chronic pain conditions most often have components of multiple different mechanisms of pain, therefore multimodal treatment simultaneously utilizes different methods of treatment such as pharmacological treatment, psychological and physical treatment. Multimodal treatment allows better patient care, but it should be taken into account that individual adaptation to the patient is always necessary and that treatment methods in the case of one patient may not be as effective in the case of another patient. Multimodal treatment of chronic pain achieves better results than using only one method, but continuous evaluation and adaptation of techniques is required. Prevention and early treatment of underlying disease, which is the cause of chronic pain, is important because treating the symptoms without causal treatment is less effective and has many more side effects.
