Abstract

Krvni doping podrazumijeva nedopuštenu uporabu tvari i metoda koje utjeĉu na eritropoezu te manipulaciju krvlju i krvnim pripravcima, u svrhu postizanja boljih sportskih rezultata. Kao i ostale vrste dopinga, kontrolira se prema meĊunarodnim smjernicama koje izdaje Svjetska antidopinška agencija, WADA. Cilj krvnog dopinga je povećati maksimalni aerobni kapacitet, kljuĉan ĉimbenik u povećanju izdržljivosti. Najĉešći oblici krvnog dopinga su krvne transfuzije i primjena rekombinantnog humanog eritropoetina, koji osim poboljšanja sportske izvedbe mogu imati i štetan utjecaj na zdravlje sportaša. Postoje brojne direktne i indirektne metode detekcije, a one se redovito osuvremenjuju radi što uspješnijeg otkrivanja i zaustavljanja dopinga.

Abstract (english)

Blood doping entails an illicit usage of substances and methods which affect erythropoiesis, and manipulation of blood and blood components, in order to achieve better sport’s results. As same as other types of doping, it is controlled according to the international guidelines published by World Anti-Doping Agency, WADA. The goal of blood doping is to increase maximal aerobic capacity, the key factor of enhancing endurance. Most common types of blood doping are blood transfusions and recombinant human erythropoietin, which, in addition to improving athletic performance, can have an adverse impact on athlete’s health. There are numerous direct and indirect methods of detection, and they are regularly updated for the most successful detection and stopping doping.
