Abstract

Indeks barorefleksne osjetljivosti (engl. baroreflex sensitivity index, BRS) važan je kardiovaskularni biljeg koji omogućava kvantifikaciju i analizu prilagodljivosti organizma na hemodinamske promjene. BRS indeksi koriste se za kvantifikaciju autonomne disfunkcije u raznim patološkim stanjima. Cilj istraživanja bio je koristeći programski sustav izračunati indekse barorefleksne osjetljivosti i usporediti ih sa standardnim testovima autonomnog živčanog sustava (AŽS). Za potrebe istraživanja... More izradili smo aplikaciju u programskom paketu MATLAB R2019b koja je korištena za poluautomatsko izračunavanje indeksa. Razmatran je vrlo velik broj ispitanika, njih ukupno 516, starih od 18 do 85 godina koji su testirani u Laboratoriju za ispitivanje autonomnog živčanog sustava, Klinike za neurologiju, Referentnog centra za poremećaje autonomnog živčanog sustava, KBC Zagreb u razdoblju od 2018. do 2019. godine. Kako bismo mogli analizirati podatke u spomenutoj aplikaciji ručno smo za svakog ispitanika izdvojili snimljene podatke iz uređaja Task Force Monitor korištenog za testiranje AŽS-a. BRS indeksi dobiveni poluautomatskim izračunom pokazuju statistički značajnu korelaciju sa standardnim, validiranim testovima AŽS-a te bi se mogli koristiti u kliničkoj praksi kao potencijalni indikatori za detekciju blage disautonomije. Abstract (english)

The baroreflex sensitivity index (BRS) is an important cardiovascular marker that allows the quantification and analysis of the body's adaptability to hemodynamic changes. BRS indices are used to quantify autonomic dysfunction in a variety of pathological conditions. The aim of the research was to calculate the indices of baroreflex sensitivity using a software system and compare them with standard tests of the autonomic nervous system (ANS). A large number of individuals were considered, a total of 516, aged 18 to 85 years, who were tested in the Laboratory for Autonomic Nervous System Examination, Clinic of Neurology, Reference Center for Autonomic Nervous System Disorders, Clinical Hospital Centre Zagreb in the period from 2018 to 2019. In order to analyze the data in the mentioned application, we manually extracted the recorded data for each individual from the Task Force Monitor device used for testing of ANS. BRS indices obtained by semi-automatic calculation show a statistically significant correlation with standard, validated ANS tests and could be used in clinical practice as potential indicators for the detection of mild dysautonomia.
