Abstract | Uvod: Pravilna prehrana je posebno važna u školskoj dobi jer osigurava normalan rast i razvoj djece, bolje učenje i pamćenje, te otpornost organizma prema bolestima.
Cilj: Istražiti prehrambene navike učenika osnovnih škola u Ličko-senjskoj županiji, te ispitati razlike u prehrambenim navikama učenika prema spolu i dobi.
Ispitanici i metode: Provedeno je istraživanje među učenicima prvih, četvrtih i sedmih razreda u Ličko-senjskoj županiji. Istraživanje je provedeno u tri osnovne škole. Upitnikom koji je sadržavao 18 pitanja ispitano je ukupno 365 učenika. Pearson Chi-Square test koristio se za ispitivanje razlike u prehrambenim navikama učenika.
Rezultati: Utvrđeno je da najveći broj učenika jede 3 obroka dnevo (39,7%), dok preporučenih 5 obroka konzumira svega 15,8% ispitanih učenika. Više od polovine učenika u Ličko-senjskoj županiji (56,3%) ne doručkuje, a isto toliko ih 2-3 puta tjedno ili svakodnevno konzumira suhomesnate proizvode i slatkiše.
Trećina ispitanih učenika kao međuobrok konzumira sendvič, dok djevojčice kao međuobrok najčešće uzimaju voće (49,5%). Obrok u školskoj kuhinji jede samo 21,7% učenika, a trećina učenika izjavila je da su gladni za vrijeme boravka u školi.
Ukupno 25% učenika svakodnevno ili 2 - 3 puta tjedno konzumira brzu hranu. Dječaci češće jedu brzu hranu (p=0,003), te više piju gazirane napitke (p=0,020).
Čak 44,9% učenika sedmog razreda gladno je za vrijeme nastave, 26,8% iz četvrtog i 28,6% iz prvog razreda (p=0,004).
Zaključak: Pokazalo se da većina učenika ima loše prehrambene navike. Sukladno tome potrebno je provesti kontinuiranu edukaciju djece, roditelja i nastavnika, cjelokupne zajednice, te je potrebno osigurati dobro energetski i nutritivno izbalansirane obroke u školama. |
Abstract (english) | Introduction: Proper nutrition is extremely important in school age because it secures normal growth and development of children, they study and remember better, and it increases their immunity.
Goal: Researching eating habits of primary school students in Ličko-senjska county, and examine the differences in eating habits of students according to their gender and age.
Subjects and methods: Research was conducted among first, fourth and seventh graders in Ličko-senjska county. Researh was conducted in 3 primary schools. With questionnaire that contained 18 questions, 365 students were exemined. Pearson Chi-Square test was used to examine the differences in eating habits of students.
Results: It was determined that the biggest number of students eat 3 meals a day (39,7%), while recommended 5 meals a day only 15,8 students. More than half of students in Ličko senjska county (56,3%) doesn’t eat breakfast, and the same amount eats 2-3 times a week or consumes meat products and candies.
One third of examined students eats a sandwich as a snak, while girls mostly eat fruit as a snack (49,5%). Meal in school kithes is only consumed by 21,7% of students, and one third of students stated that they are hungry during their time in school. 25% of students daily or 2 – 3 times a week consumes fast food. Boys eat fast food more often (p=0,003), and drink carbonated drinks more (p=0,020). 44,9% seventh graders is hungry during the class, 26,8% fourth graders and 28,6% first graders (p=0,004).
Conclusion: It showed that most of students have bad eating habits. According to that it is necessary to implement continuous education of children, parents and teachers, the whole community, and it is necessary to secure good energy and nutritionally balanced meals in school. |
