Abstract

Uvod: Prehrambene navike i tjelesna aktivnost djece predškolske dobi utječu na
njihovo stanje uhranjenosti te pravilan rast i razvoj.
Cilj istraživanja: Ispitati stanje uhranjenosti i prehrambene navike djece predškolske
dobi
Ispitanici i metode: Ispitivanje stanja uhranjenosti provedeno je na uzorku od 531
djece koja su pohađala osam dječjih vrtića u Zagrebu tijekom 2018. godine. Za ocjenu
stanja uhranjenosti korištena su antropometrijska mjerenja. Ispitivanje prehrambenih
navika provedeno je na uzorku od 231 roditelja djece predškolske dobi upitnikom o
načinu prehrane i tjelesnoj aktivnosti. Za obradu podataka koristila se deskriptivna
statistička analiza i programska podrška SPSS. Fisher's Exact Test se koristio u svrhu
istraživanja razlike među spolovima prema ispitivanim parametrima.
Rezultati: Antropometrijska mjerenja pokazala su da je prosječna težina dječaka
23,99 kg a visina 122,41cm dok djevojčice teže 23,42 kg i visoke su prosječno 121,24
cm. Struktura ukupnog uzorka pokazuje da je pothranjenih 2,4%, normalno uhranjenih
76,6%, prekomjerne težine 9,6% i pretilih je 11,4% djece. Ispitivanje prehrambenih
navika pokazalo je da veliki broj djece ima nedostatan unos mlijeka i mliječnih
proizvoda, povrća, voća i ribe. U polovice ispitanika je bavljenje tjelesnom aktivnošću
u skladu s preporukama.
Zaključak: Rezultati upućuju na potrebu edukacije djece i roditelja u svrhu promicanja
zdravlja, kroz usvajanje dobrih prehrambenih navika i zdravih stilova života.

Abstract (english)

Introduction: Dietary habits and physical activity of children preschool age affects
their nutritional status and regular growth and development.
Objective of the research study: Questioning of nutritional status and dietary habits
of preschool children
Respondents and methods: Questioning of nutritional status has been conducted on
531 children that were attending eight kindergartens in Zagreb during 2018. Measuring
instrument for nutritional status was anthropometry. Questioning of dietary habits was
carried out on a sample of 231 parents of children preschool age through questionnaire
of dietary habits and physical activity. The results were processed by descriptive
statistics and SPSS program support. Fisher's Exact Test was used to investigate
gender differences according to the tested parameters.
Results: Anthropometry measurements showed that average weight of boys were
23,99 kg and height 122,41cm while girls weighed 23,42 kg and average height is
121,24 cm. Sructure of total sample shows that there were 2,4% malnourished
children, 76,6% normally nourished, 9,6% overweight and 11,4% obese children.
Questioning of dietary habits showed that a large number of children have insufficient
intake of milk and dairy products, as well as vegetables, fruit and fish. In half of sample,
physical activity was in accordance with the recommendations.
Conclusion: the results indicate the need for education of children and parents for
the purpose of promoting health through establishing good dietary habits and healthy
lifestyles.
