Abstract

Ovaj diplomski rad istražuje koncept transgeneracijske traume, definirajući je kao prijenos psiholoških i emocionalnih posljedica traumatskih iskustava s jedne generacije na drugu. Posebna pažnja posvećena je mehanizmima prijenosa, uključujući epigenetske promjene, neurobiološke faktore, te psihološke i društvene utjecaje. Rad se također bavi utjecajem transgeneracijske traume na formiranje ličnosti, naglašavajući kako trauma može oblikovati identitet, emocionalnu regulaciju i međuljudske odnose potomaka traumatiziranih roditelja.
Kroz analizu psihodinamskih aspekata, prikazani su modeli traumatske privrženosti, disocijacija i njihova uloga u prijenosu traume. Također, istražena je povezanost transgeneracijske traume i razvoja psihotičnih poremećaja, poput shizofrenije, posebno kroz prikaz slučaja pacijenta čiji su roditelji preživjeli genocid u Srebrenici. Rad naglašava važnost razumijevanja specifičnih psihotičnih simptoma povezanih s transgeneracijskom traumom. Društveni i kulturni aspekti transgeneracijske traume istraženi su kroz prizmu kolektivne traume i epigenetske metilacije, s naglaskom na njihove dugoročne društvene implikacije. Zaključno, rad se fokusira na psihoterapijske pristupe u radu s transgeneracijskom traumom, posebno analitičku muzikoterapiju i psihodinamsku terapiju te njihovu ulogu u integraciji traumatskih iskustava i prevenciji psihotičnih simptoma.

Abstract (english)

This graduate thesis paper explores the concept of transgenerational trauma, defining it as the transmission of psychological and emotional effects of traumatic experiences from one generation to the next. It focuses on the mechanisms of transmission, including epigenetic changes, neurobiological factors, psychological and social influences. The paper also examines the impact of transgenerational trauma on personality development, highlighting how trauma can shape identity, emotional regulation, and interpersonal relationships in the offspring of traumatized parents.
Through an analysis of psychodynamic aspects, the study presents models of traumatic attachment, dissociation, and their roles in the transmission of trauma. Additionally, it investigates the connection between transgenerational trauma and the development of psychotic disorders, such as schizophrenia, particularly through a case study of a patient whose parents survived the Srebrenica genocide. The paper emphasizes the importance of understanding specific psychotic symptoms associated with transgenerational trauma.
The social and cultural aspects of transgenerational trauma are explored through the lens of collective trauma and epigenetic methylation, with a focus on their long-term societal implications. Finally, the paper addresses psychotherapeutic approaches to working with transgenerational trauma, particularly analytical music therapy and psychodynamic therapy, as well as their role in integrating traumatic experiences and preventing psychotic symptoms.
