Abstract

Crohnova bolest je upalna bolest crijeva čiji je uzrok još uvijek nepoznat, ali neki okolišni čimbenici mogu povećati rizik (pušenje, oralna kontracepcija, apendektomija i dr.) Rad nas upoznaje sa upalnim bolestima crijeva, a posebno sa Crohnovom bolešću. Ne postoji poseban test kojim bi se dijagnosticirala Crohnova bolest i veoma je važno razlikovati bolest od drugih stanja koja mogu imati slične simptome. Osobita pozornost posvećena je biomarkerima te njihovoj ulozi u dijagnostici, terapiji te praćenju aktivnosti bolesti. Prikazani su neki od indeksa za praćenje aktivnosti bolesti koji se koriste u rutinskoj kliničkoj primjeni (The Crohn's Disease Activity Indeks (CDAI ), Crohn's Disease Endoscopic Index of Severity (CDEIS), Simple Endoscopic Severity Index (SES-CD)) te njihova usporedba sa biomarkerima.

Abstract (english)

Crohn's disease is an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The exact cause is still unknown but some environmental factors can increase the risk (smoking, oral contraceptives, appendectomy etc.) The thesis introduces us with inflammatory bowel disease specifically with Crohn's disease.There is no specific test to diagnose Crohn's disease and it is very important to exclude other conditions that have similar signs and symptoms.Particular attention was given to biomarkers and their role in diagnostics, therapy and in activity monitoring. Some of the indexes for activity monitoring that are used in routine clinical practice (The Crohne's disease activity indeks (CDAI ), Crohn's Disease Endoscopic Index of Severity (CDEIS), Simple Endoscopic Severity Index (SES-CD)) are shown and compared with biomarkers.
