Abstract

Novije doba i kultura prati izuzetni i dinamični znanstveni i tehnološki napredak, sveprisutnost utjecaja društvenih mreža i medija te izrazita kompetitivnost. Navedene promjene i faktori dovode do povećane učestalosti psihičkih bolesti poput depresije, anksioznosti te poremećaja ličnosti kao što je narcisoidni poremećaj ličnosti. Depresija i anksioznost predstavljaju dvije najčešće psihičke bolesti sa stalnim porastom prevalencije u društvu. Procjenjuje se da, na globalnoj razini, 163 milijuna ljudi boluje od depresije te 273 milijuna ljudi od raznih podtipova anksioznog poremećaja. Te bolesti predstavljaju veliko opterećenje na zdravstveni sustav, društvo, ali još bitnije na pojedinca kojemu narušavaju kvalitetu života. Psihoanaliza i psihodinamika, kao područja psihijatrije objašnjavaju psihološke procese, psihološki razvoj, ali isto tako nastanak psihičkih bolesti te načine psihoterapije tih bolesti.

Abstract (english)

Modern times and culture are accompanied by exceptional and dynamic scientific and technological progress, the omnipresence of the influence of social networks and the media, and marked competitiveness. The aforementioned changes and factors lead to an increased frequency of mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety and personality disorders such as narcissistic personality disorder. Depression and anxiety are the two most common mental illnesses with a constant increase in prevalence in society. It is estimated that, globally, 163 million people suffer from depression and 273 million people suffer from various subtypes of anxiety disorders. These diseases represent a great burden on the health system and society, but even more importantly on the individual whose quality of life is impaired. Psychoanalysis and psychodynamics, as fields of psychiatry, explain psychological processes, psychological development, but also the emergence of mental illnesses and methods of psychotherapy for these illnesses.
