Abstract

Uho, periferni slušni organ, sastoji se od tri dijela: vanjskog, srednjeg i unutarnjeg uha. Vanjsko i srednje uho smatraju se konduktivnim ili provodnim dijelom slušnog sustava, dok je unutarnje uho s Cortijevim organom dio perceptivnog ili zamjedbenog dijela slušnog sustava. Postoje bolesti koje uzrokuju konduktivno, bolesti koje uzrokuju zamjedbeno te bolesti koje uzrokuju mješovito oštećenje sluha. Prema procjeni Svjetske zdravstvene organizacije 20% čitave populacije ima neki oblik oštećenja sluha. Oštećenje sluha može biti blago gdje imamo gubitak od 20 do 35 dB-a i problemi se javljaju tek u glasnoj okolini, do potpunog oštećenja sluha s pragom sluha većim od 92 dB. Bolesti povezane s konduktivnim gubitkom sluha česte su u općoj populaciji, posebice u dječjoj dobi gdje su u 80% slučajeva uzrok nekog oblika gubitka sluha. Postoji nekoliko metoda kojima možemo dijagnosticirati konduktivno oštećenje sluha, prije svega audiološkim testovima poput akumetrije i audiometrije, no u većini slučajeva već će nam fizikalni pregled otkriti potencijalni uzrok oštećenja sluha. Budući da je velik broj bolesti koje mogu uzrokovati konduktivno oštećenje sluha, cilj ovog diplomskog rada na jednom je mjestu prikazati neke od čestih bolesti povezanih s konduktivnim gubitkom sluha uz naglasak na njihovu dijagnostiku i liječenje.

Abstract (english)

The human ear is the peripheral auditory organ and it consists of three parts: the external, the middle, and the inner ear. The external and middle ear are the conductive parts of the auditory system, while the inner ear with the organ of Corti is a part of the receptory segment of the auditory system. There are diseases that can cause conductive damage, those that can cause perceptual, and those that can cause mixed hearing loss. According to the World Health Organization, 20% of the entire population has some form of hearing impairment. Hearing loss can be mild with a threshold of 20 - 35 dB with problems occur only in the loud environment, to complete hearing loss with thresholds over 95 db. Conductive hearing loss-related diseases are common in the general population, especially in childhood where they are responsible for over 80% of some forms of hearing loss. There are several methods for diagnosing a conductive hearing loss, primarily audiological tests such as acoumetry and audiometry, but in most cases, a physical examination will reveal the potential cause of hearing loss. Since there many diseases that can cause a conductive hearing loss, the purpose of this thesis is to sum up the most common of them with an emphasis on diagnosis and treatment.
