Abstract

Istraživanja pokazuju promjene glutamatnog sustava u shizofreniji. Hipoteza ovog istraživanja je da postoji povezanost koncentracije glutamata u području dorzolateralnog prefrontalnog korteksa sa kliničkim pokazateljima odgovora na liječenje shizofrenih bolesnika novim antipsihoticima. Pretpostavlja se smanjenje koncentracije glutamata po provedenom liječenju. Istraživanjem su obuhvaćena 32 shizofrena bolesnika u prvoj epizodi poremećaja bez prethodne antipsihotične terapije. Razina glutamata mjerena je magnetskom spektroskopijom, a klinički pokazatelji mjernim skalama (PANSS, TOL, CGI-I, CGI-S, PSP, HAM-D, SAS). Dobiveni rezultati u skladu su sa dosadašnjim spoznajama i literaturom. Povećana koncentracija glutamata prisutna je u akutnoj fazi shizofrenije, dok se na primjenu nove skupine antipsihotika koncentracija glutamata smanjuje. Potrebna su daljnja istraživanja na većem uzorku i u dužem vremenskom periodu.

Abstract (english)

Investigations show changes in glutamate system in schizophrenia. The hypothesis of this research is that there is the correlation of the glutamate concentration in the area of the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex with the clinical parameters of the response to treatment of schizophrenic patients with atypical antipsychotics. It is supposed that the glutamate concentration will decrease after the performed treatment. The investigation will encompass 32 schizophrenic patients with the first episode of the disorder without previous antipsychotic therapy. Glutamate level measured by proton magnetic spectroscopy in the area of dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, and clinical parameters with measuring scales (PANSS, TOL, CGI-I, CGI-S, PSP, HAM-D, SAS). The results of the research are the similar as results in literature. Glutamat level decreased during the atypical antypsihotics therapy.
