Abstract

Ovaj pregledni rad prikazuje složenu i multidisciplinarnu temu profesionalnih bolesti jetre s ciljem pružanja sveobuhvatnog pregleda koji obuhvaća uzročne faktore, kliničku prezentaciju, predisponirajuće faktore te dijagnostičke i terapijske pristupe. Rad identificira agense poput virusa hepatitisa B, C i E, kao i kemijske spojeve poput vinil-klorida i organskih otapala kao značajne uzročne faktore. Nadalje, naglašava ulogu individualnih predisponirajućih čimbenika u nastanku i napredovanju bolesti. Detaljno su opisane kliničke manifestacije, od akutnih ozljeda jetre do kroničnih stanja kao što su steatohepatitis uzrokovan toksinima (TASH), fibroza i hepatocelularni karcinom (HCC). Zastupa se multidisciplinarni pristup dijagnostici i liječenju koji uključuje anamnezu, biokemijske testove i slikovne studije. Ovaj diplomski rad naglašava važnost istraživanja ove skupine bolesti za bolje razumijevanje njihove etiologije te prevenciju njihovog nastajanja.

Abstract (english)

This thesis delves into the complex and multifaceted topic of occupational liver diseases, aiming to provide a comprehensive analysis that spans causative factors, clinical presentation, predisposing factors, and diagnostic as well as therapeutic approaches. The work identifies infectious agents like Hepatitis B, C, and E viruses, and chemical compounds such as Vinyl Chloride and organic solvents as significant causative factors. It further emphasizes the role of individual susceptibilities in disease onset and progression. The clinical manifestations are detailed, ranging from acute liver injury to chronic conditions, such as toxin associated hepatitis (TASH), fibrosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). A multidisciplinary approach to diagnosis and treatment is advocated, incorporating history taking, biochemical tests, and imaging studies. The thesis emphasizes the importance of studying occupational liver diseases for a better understanding of their etiology and the prevention of their occurrence.
