Republici Hrvatskoj. Nove kompetencije medicinske sestre mogu steći dodatnom edukacijom
(horizontalna razina) ili višim stupnjem obrazovanja (vertikalna razina). Otvaranjem
sveučilišnog diplomskog studija sestrinstva u Republici Hrvatskoj obrazovanje medicinskih
aktivno 16 diplomskih studijskih programa sestrinstva, 5 specijalističkih i 11 sveučilišnih.
Abstract (english) | According to the Agency for Science and Higher Education, nursing is a regulated
profession in the Republic of Croatia. New competencies for nurses can be acquired through
additional education (horizontal level) or higher level of education (vertical level). With the
opening of university graduate nursing programs in Croatia, the education of nurses in Croatia
has been equated with education throughout the European Union. For the development of
nursing as a discipline and a profession, the appearance of a critical mass of highly educated
and motivated nurses, whose contribution will enable new evidence based scientific
knowledge, and for the improvement of health care for patients and the community, as well as
for nurses as professionals, is crucial. In Republic of Croatia, there are sixteen active graduate
nursing programs, 5 specialist programs, and 11 university programs. The programs differ, and
despite the total number of courses (N=522), only three courses appear in all study programs.
Of the total number of lecturers (N=521) in university studies, the representation of lecturers -
nurses is 19% (N = 97), while in specialist studies, of the total number of lecturers (N = 173),
the representation of lecturers - nurses is 14% (N =25). Out of the total number of course
holders (N=198) in university nursing studies, 4% (N=8) are nurses, and in specialist studies,
from the total number of course holders (N=116), nurses are 11% (N=13). The four basic
competencies of the master's degree in nursing are defined by law and are not represented in
all graduate studies in nursing. Through the curricula, 8 competencies were recognized, which
are represented in the studies, but also not in all of them. |
