Abstract

Transplantacija organa je kirurški postupak u kojem se bolesni ili oštećeni
organ zamjenjuje zdravim organom donora. Ova vrsta postupka koristi se za liječenje
bolesnika s teškom i uznapredovalom bolesti organa koja nije odgovorila na druge
oblike terapije. Uzroci teškog zatajivanja srca kao indikacije za transplantaciju u
prvom su redu dilatacijska i ishemijska kardiomiopatija. Ostali uzroci refraktornog
zatajivanja srca su hipertenzivna bolest srca, miokarditis, toksična kardiomiopatija,
prirođene bolesti srca i bolesti srčanih zalistaka koje za posljedicu imaju teško
oštećenje i disfunkciju miokarda. Edukacija pacijenta i obitelji nakon transplantacije
srca igra ključnu ulogu u postoperativnom oporavku i dugoročnom upravljanju
zdravljem. Edukacija se odnosi na uzimanje lijekova, prepoznavanje znakova
odbacivanja, važnost redovitih kontrola i zdrav stil života. Kontinuirano praćenje
zdravstvenog stanja pacijenta nakon transplantacije srca važno je za rano otkrivanje
komplikacija i odbacivanja organa. Redoviti pregledi, laboratorijski testovi i slikovne
dijagnostičke metode pomažu medicinskom timu za pravovremene intervencije.
Dugoročna skrb za pacijente nakon transplantacije srca zahtijeva multidisciplinarni
pristup, suradnju medicinskog tima i pacijenta, te prilagodbu individualnim
potrebama. Kontinuirana podrška i edukacija doprinose dugoročnom zdravlju i
kvaliteti života ovih pacijenata.

Abstract (english)

Organ transplantation is a surgical procedure in which a diseased or damaged
organ is replaced with a healthy organ from a donor. This type of procedure is used
to treat patients with severe and advanced organ disease that has not responded to
other forms of therapy. Causes of severe heart failure as an indication for
transplantation are primarily dilated and ischemic cardiomyopathy. Other causes of
refractory heart failure are hypertensive heart disease, myocarditis, toxic
cardiomyopathy, congenital heart disease and heart valve disease resulting in severe
damage and dysfunction of the myocardium. Patient and family education after heart
transplantation plays a critical role in postoperative recovery and long-term health
management. The education is about taking medication, recognizing signs of
rejection, the importance of regular check-ups and a healthy lifestyle. Continuous
monitoring of the patient's health after a heart transplant is important for early
detection of complications and organ rejection. Regular examinations, laboratory
tests and diagnostic imaging methods help the medical team to make timely
interventions. Long-term care for patients after heart transplantation requires a
multidisciplinary approach, cooperation between the medical team and the patient,
and adaptation to individual needs. Continuous support and education contribute to
long-term health and quality of life of these patients.
