Abstract

Parallel abstract (English)
A variety of professions are characterized by a number of risk factors for the development of diseases associated with the occupation. Employees in the health sector are exposed to various hazards, ranging from the fundamental, such as chemical and biological agents, to the modern, associated with stress in the workplace. As the largest profession within the health system, nurses are particularly susceptible to work-related diseases, and are weighed down by shift work, their sex, physical requirements, dealing with death, insufficient training in relation to the increasing number of requests, subordination, and other hazards. Nurses are insufficiently aware of the potential adverse factors encountered on the job. This refers primarily to young nurses, who have not adopted the specific knowledge related to work safety through training. Therefore, it is necessary to introduce new teaching proposals in order to improve the nurses’ practice in a safe manner.
