Abstract

Pesticidi su kemijske ili biološke tvari namijenjene sprječavanju, ograničavanju ili uništavanju različitih oblika štetočina, korova i bolesti posebno za povećanje prinosa hrane. Neizbježan su pratilac čovjeka u gradskom okolišu. ----- Postoji mnogo vrsta pesticida koji mogu uzrokovati različite poremećaje zdravlja. Ljudi su izloženi pri održavanju travnatih i cvjetnih površina, zaštiti biljaka od štetočina, čišćenju domova i njezi kućnih ljubimaca. Opasnosti za zdravlje ovise o učestalosti izloženosti pesticidu, načinu ulaska u ljudsko tijelo, njegovoj otrovnosti, načinu primjene, temperaturi okoline kod primjene i nepridržavanju uputa pri korištenju. ----- U ovom radu opisani su utjecaji pesticida – kloriranih ugljikovodika, organofosfornih insekticida, karbamata i ostalih spojeva kojima su ljudi u gradu svakodnevno izloženi.

Abstract (english)

Pesticides are chemical or biological substances used for the prevention, restriction or destruction of different types of organisms to control pests, weeds and diseases in particular to increase the yield of food. They are inevitable companion of the humans in the urban environment. ----- There are many types of pesticides that may cause various health disorders. People are exposed when maintain grass and floral areas; protect plants from pests, during cleaning homes and care of pets. Health hazards depend on the frequency of exposure to pesticides, the mode of entry into the human body, its toxicity, the mode of application, the ambient temperature in the application and failure to comply with usage. ----- This paper describes the effects of pesticides - chlorinated hydrocarbons, organophosphorus pesticides, carbamates and other compounds, to which humans are daily exposed in urban environment.
