i unaprjeđuje kvaliteta života prevencijom i olakšavanjem simptoma metodama ranog
psihičkih, psihosocijalnih i duhovnih problema. U tom procesu medicinske
sestre/tehničari imaju važnu ulogu. Cilj ovog istraživanja bio je ispitati znanje
medicinskih sestara o palijativnoj skrbi u Kliničkom bolničkom centru „Sestre
milosrdnice“ u Zagrebu.
Metodologija: Istraživanje je provedeno među 174 ispitanika, medicinskih
sestara/tehničara u KBC Sestre Milosrdnice. Kao instrument istraživanja znanja
medicinskih sestara/tehničara o palijativnoj skrbi korišten je validirani upitnik Palliative
Care Quiz for Nurses. Podatci su analizirani metodama deskriptivne i analitičke
statistike.
odgovora i više) nije imao niti jedan ispitanik.
df2=6, p=0,354), nije utvrđena značajna razlika u znanju ovisno o iskustvu i duljini
radnog staža (F=1,521, df1=6, df=21, p=0,219), stupnju obrazovanja (F=0,778, df1=1,
df2=6, p=0,411) ili s obzirom na spol ispitanika (F=5,859, df1=1, df2=6, p=0,051).
kvalitete pružanja zdravstvene njege i skrbi palijativnim pacijentima. |
Sažetak (engleski) | Introduction: According to the definition of the World Health Organization palliative
care is an approach that provides and improves the quality of life to the patients with
incurable disease and their families by preventing and relieving the symptoms by early
detection, assessment and pain control and facilitating others physical symptoms, but
also psychological, psychosocial and spiritual problems. The aim of this study was to
determine the knowledge of nurses about palliative care at the Clinical Hospital Centre
Sisters of Mercy.
Methodology: The survey was conducted among 174 respondents, nurses /
technicians in the Clinical Hospital Centre Sisters of Mercy. The validated
questionnaire Palliative Care Quiz for Nurses was used as an research instrument.
The data were analyzed by methods of descriptive and analytical statistics. The results
were interpreted at a significance level of α <0.05.
Results: Data analysis showed that 50 respondents (28.74%) had 50% or more
correct answers indicating "sufficient knowledge", while "good knowledge" (75%
correct answers and more) did not have any respondents. The analysis of variance did
not found a statistically significant difference in knowledge about palliative care among
the respondents who attended education on palliative care and those who did not
attend education (F = 1,004, df1 = 1, df2 = 6, p = 0,354), there was no significant
difference in knowledge according the working experience ((F = 1.521, df1 = 6, df =
21, p = 0.219), level of education (F = 0.778, df1 = 1, df2 = 6, p = 0.411), nor with
regard to the gender of respondents (F = 5.859, df1 = 1, df2 = 6, p = 0.051).
Conclusion: Research results show that the knowledge of nurses / technicians on
palliative care is insufficient. The research on the knowledge of palliative care is
important for the development of nursing profession, as well as for improving the quality
of healthcare and palliative care. |
